In honor of the fact that Valentine’s Day is approaching I thought I would take the opportunity to do a post about sewing lingerie. Now this doesn’t have to be a gift for anyone, It could just be a way for you to treat yourself to something nice. Whether you plan to have a romantic evening with your babe or just a low key night with your favorite book and a glass of wine, I hope you are inspired to sew up something beautiful and enjoy your Valentine’s Day.
Lingerie Sewing Patterns
Here are a few patterns that I have been wanting to make and others that are popular among seamstresses who have taken the plunge into lingerie sewing.
Watson Bra & Bikini – From Cloth Habit A very popular Pattern among First time Bra makers. A soft cup, long line bra with no underwire to worry about, and a simple pair of Bikini panties. This pattern is said to have some of the most thorough instructions making it possible for someone who has never sewn any lingerie to complete. There is also a Watson sew along here for an in depth step by step tutorial.
Rosy Lady shorts – A Free downloadable pattern, also by Cloth Habit They were designed to be made with 4-way stretch lace but can be made in mesh or soft jersey knit.
A few darling patterns from one of my favorite lingerie designers ohhh Lulu.
